WBUT PGET 2017:
Admissions into the participating institutes offering M.Tech courses in the state of West Bengal will be conducted through WBUT PGET 2017. All applicants, irrespective of whether they have qualified GATE examination or not, will have to attempt and qualify the entrance examination. WBUT PGET 2017 will be held in July. The online registrations of WBUT PGET 2017 will start tentatively in the month of June 2017. GATE 2017 scores will also be taken into consideration while the WBUT PGET 2017 merit list is being prepared by the authorities. All of the applicants will be required to qualify the entrance examination with the required percentage. Counseling of WBUT PGET 2017 of the ranked applicants in the merit list will be conducted in offline mode. All admissions will be done as per the merit of the applicant. WBUT PGET Eligibility Criteria 2017
Before applying for admissions through WBUT PGET 2017, the applicants are advised to read the eligibility criteria set by the admission authorities of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. If any of the applicants fails to meet the required criteria then he/she will not be granted admission into the Institute:
- The applicants should have qualified their Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/ Architecture from a well-recognized institute. The final year students will also be eligible provided that they graduate by August 2017.
- The applicants who are associate members of a Professional of Engineers recognized by the Govt. Of India as equivalent courses are also eligible to apply for admission.
- For admissions through WBUT PGET 2017, those applicants who have done M.Sc or are completing M. Sc in the appropriate branches are also eligible.
- Distance education degrees are not eligible.
WBUT PGET Application Form 2017
The application form of WBUT PGET 2017 will be available online tentatively from June 2017. All of the applicants who wish to pursue their studies in the participating engineering institutes of West Bengal. While filling the application form, the applicants will have to fill in all of their relevant personal and educational details. The photocopies of their mark sheets, GATE scorecards and any other required documents along with the application form has to be sent to the University.
Application Fees
The applicants will be required to pay the application fee of Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 for SC/ST applicants). Payment of the application fee has to be done via a DD in favour of “MAKAUTWB-PGET” from any nationalized bank payable at Kolkata. Failure to pay the application fees will lead to the disqualification of the applicants.

WBUT PGET Admit Card 2017
The admit card of WBUT PGET 2017 will be available tentatively in July 2017 for all the registered applicants. To access the WBUT PGET 2017 admit card, the applicants will have to log in using the required credentials. Before printing the Admit card, the applicants are requested to check if all of the credentials present in the document is valid. The admit card is to be kept safe and produced in the examination hall.
WBUT PGET Rank Card 2017
The rank card of WBUT PGET 2017 will be released tentatively in July 2017. The scores and ranks obtained by the applicants in the entrance examination will be available in the rank card. The access the rank card, the applicants will have to log in using their email id or application number.
WBUT PGET Merit List 2017
WBUT PGET 2017 merit list will be declared by the authorities tentatively in July 2017. The merit list will be prepared separately for GATE qualified and WBUT PGET qualified candidates. The weightage for the merit list will be:
- GATE Candidates: 70% weightage to GATE scores and 30% to PGET 2017
- PGET Candidates: 80% weightage to PGET scores and 20% to Academic Performance.
WBUT PGET Counselling 2017
Those applicants who are shortlisted in the merit list will have to register themselves online for the counseling session. Selection of preferred colleges and course has to be done by the applicants. After all of the choices are submitted, the applicants will be allotted seats as per their merit and choice. Those applicants who are satisfied with their allotted seats will have to confirm their admission by reporting at the allotted institute. Unsatisfied applicants can opt for further rounds of counseling.
