JNU MCA APPLICATION 2018
The candidates are admitted to the MCA programme each year on the basis of their performance in the written test conducted by the University. This three-year programme is designed to provide necessary theoretical background and practical experience in Computer Science and Applications to meet the ever growing manpower requirements in automatic computing.The University will hold Entrance Examination for admission to various programmes of study from 27th to 30th December, 2017 in 53 cities in India and also in Kathmandu (Nepal). (Through Entrance Examination)-M.Phil/Ph.D., MPhil/Ph.D through JRF, Ph.D., Ph.D through JRF, M.Tech., MPH., PGDE, M.A., M.Sc., MCA, B.A. (Hons.) in Foreign Languages and Part-Time courses. Prospectus outlining the details of the admission process can be found on JNU website and candidates need to go through it before filling up the form. Online Application: Application form has been prescribed for all programmes of study. Candidates can apply Online on payment of prescribed fee by logging on to JNU website www.jnu.ac.in. The site has been designed in a ‘user friendly’ way to help candidates for applying Online in a step-by-step fashion. Online application portal will remain open as per the following schedule:-
Start of Online Application Process : 15.09.2017 (10.00 AM)
Closing of online Application Process : 13.10.2017 (11.59 PM)

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with adequate competence
in Mathematics under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 55% marks.(All
OBC category (non creamy layer) candidates are eligible to 10% relaxation in
the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination in relation to open
category. The SC/ST and Person with Disability (PWD) candidates who have passed
the qualifying examination irrespective of their percentage of marks are
eligible to appear in the Entrance Examination.)

General aptitude, reasoning and 10+2 and Bachelor’s level mathematics and Computer Science as per the topics specified as under:
Maths: Differential and Integral Calculus, Vector Algebra, Trigonometry, 2D-3-D Geometry, Modern Algebra, Numerical Analysis, Probability & Statistics, Real Analysis, Theory of Real Function
Computer Science: Digital Systems Design & Architecture, Programming (C), Data Structures, Operating Systems, Discrete Mathematics.
(The question paper will comprise 100 multiple choice questions. 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer)

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Log-on to
JNU website (www.jnu.ac.in / admissions.jnu.ac.in).
2. Click on
to New Registration & Candidate Login link.
3. Before
you proceed to register yourself for entrance examination you must ensure that
you have read and understood the eligibility criteria as given in the
prospectus for each discipline / programme of study for which you intend to
take the entrance examination .
4. You
should fill your correct basic and academic details like Name, DOB, Address,
Contact No., Email-id and Discipline / programme of study .
5. Choose
your password 8 characters. Please remember your password and don’t share with
others.
6. Before
final submission of online Application form, read the declaration carefully and
give your consent on it. You are required to upload a recently taken scanned
photograph and signature in JPG format (preferable width 150px and height
200px) and size less than 20-50 KB. Signature size should be less than 10-20
KB(preferable width 140px and height 60px). The maximum file size for Photo and
Signature is 50 KB, failing which you will not be able to complete your
application. So you must check your information details carefully before final
submission of your application form.
7. Keep
mobile Phone handy while filling the form and the user credentials are sent in
the given email id for further login.
8. No
written acknowledgement will be issued for the receipt of the application.
However, the candidate can verify
application status on JNU website after a fortnight of
submission. If you see any discrepancy, call us on Phone No. 8010-855-855.
9. After
successful filling of On-line Application Form, a Confirmation Page will be
generated for each and every candidate bearing the entire information as filled
in by the candidate by them along with a Unique Application Number which the
candidate can use in future correspondence. Registration number will be allotted
at the time of Admit card generation.
The candidates are required to take a printout of
confirmation page and retain the same for their record but need not send the
same to JNU.
